It is with deep sadness that the Democratic Alliance has learnt of the falling of a pillar of the community, Nelson Mandela Bay Ward 10 Councillor, Andy Jordan. Councillor Jordan passed this morning, 8 August 2021, at the age of 45, following Covid-19 complications.
Councillor Jordan was a true public servant and long-serving member of the Democratic Alliance’s Nelson Mandela Bay caucus. He was the deputy chairperson of the PE Northern Areas constituency, as well as the deputy chief whip of the DA in Nelson Mandela Bay.

Councillor Jordan has a long record of selfless service. He was a hard-working, dedicated and committed councillor, who would always go above and beyond for all members of his community, working late into the night and early hours of the morning.
Andy has served the people of Nelson Mandela Bay with distinction. He was an exemplary public representative and an exemplary human being, whose presence will be sorely missed.
Andy leaves behind his beloved wife Chantel, three children and his dog Gunner, whom he treasured.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Jordan family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.
