Today, Saturday, 18 September 2021, on the first day of the final registration weekend for the coming Local Government Elections (LGE), the Democratic Alliance (DA) is out and about across the Eastern Cape to paint the province blue and ensure that people make use of this final opportunity to register to vote. The provincial leadership, councillors and activists will be working across the Eastern Cape to encourage our people to register to vote in the 2021 Local Government Elections.

This weekend is the last chance for South Africans to register to vote and check their voter registration status ahead of the 1 November Election Day.

The DA in the Eastern Cape is calling on all DA supporters this weekend to check their registration at their closest voting station to make sure that they are registered correctly to vote for the DA on 1 November 2021.

We are the only party with a candidate in every ward for the elections, and it is now all stations go.

These elections provide us with the greatest opportunity yet, to send the ANC a strong message that their time in the Eastern Cape has expired, that the people of the province are sick and tired of broken promises and that they are ready for change.

The DA is the only party that can say that we get things done, because where we govern, we deliver services to all the people. The DA believes that in this election we are going to grow in every municipality, but we can only do that if our supporters come out and register to vote.

We cannot miss this important opportunity to bring about the important change that we need in this province.
